Which services can be arranged for with a basic payment account?

deposit of funds to the payment account,
cash withdrawal from the payment account at a bank or ATM,
SEPA direct debits,
Activa Visa Inspire debit card transactions (including online transactions),
credit payments (both domestic and cross-border payment transactions), including standing orders, payments at the bank and through online and mobile banking,
invoice payment, managing personal finances and ordering banking services through the online or mobile banking.

The basic payment account includes only the above-mentioned services. The rest of the services, such as loans, deposits, overdrafts (basic and specially agreed overdraft), credit cards, prepaid cards, etc., cannot be concluded within the basic payment account.

This is not a multi-currency account; banking services within this account are only available in the local currency (euro).

What documents do you need to open a basic payment account?

To open a basic payment account, provide us with a valid identity document with a photo and tax number. The bank may also require other documentation.

Personal documents issued by the competent authorities of the Republic of Slovenia or another country and acceptable to the bank are:

•   ID card,
•   passport,
•   driving license,
•   residence permit in the form of a card,
•   card of the applicant for international protection.

Beneficiaries of cash social assistance and / or childcare allowance must also submit a valid decision of the Center for Social Work, on the basis of which they are entitled to a lower appropriate compensation for the basic payment account.
