Participation in the Italian Business Forum

At Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Slovenia, we fully recognize the importance of strong institutional relationships. That’s why we actively foster collaboration with the academic world, professional associations, and business networks—including the Italian-Slovenian Forum. In partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Italy in Slovenia, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), the Italian Cultural Institute, and Confindustria Slovenia, this year they organized at the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business – our academic partner in Slovenia the 12th edition of the Italian Business Forum (IBF) under the theme “Enabling Innovation: Technologies – Ecosystems – Investments”.

The Forum brought together experts from academia, industry, and finance to explore how innovation can be nurtured both within companies and through supportive ecosystems. Luigi Fuzio, CEO of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Slovenia, participated in a high-level roundtable on financing innovation, scaling technologies, and bridging the gap between research, start-ups, and sustainable business models. The discussion focused on bottlenecks in emerging sectors like green hydrogen, the role of blended finance, and practical solutions to turn innovative ideas into scalable and resilient ventures.

At Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Slovenia, we are proud to contribute to this dialogue, sharing our experience from the banking perspective and supporting cross-border collaboration.
